shoes: Brooks cascadia
ACT teams event at Mt Majura West. Fun event with mass start and some splitting. Was on the same split as Miss Jones which was fun cos we were together for quite a lot of the course. Once I warmed up felt alright and quite enjoyed trying to run hard again as have feeling a bit stuffed lately. Still felt stuffed, but in a better way. Teamed up with Muzza who was first in led us to victory :)

Tried to do hill intervals on bruce ridge. Felt so slow and times were way longer than last time I did them :(
Did 4x long hill plus short hill up the other side.
long ones 1.47, 1.50, 1.51, 1.51 and the short ones were 35ish sec each.

Ran with Shannon, Kylie and Catherine from JGB at ANU to the National Museum for some intervals. Freezing morning. brrr.

Ran 4 intervals round a loop around the national museum, did 2 each direction. There was a slight uphill for the second two so a bit slower, but was also a bit tireder. 4.11, 4.07, 4.14, 4.17.

Cockies run from Hackett. Did a radical new route to get to the Ainslie climb (where Miss Jones set a cracking pace to the summit) then did a loop round Campbell Park for a bit of a change then up to Hackett Hill. First magpie swoop for the season can't be too far away (was on the look-out just in case). Really nice winter morning for a run. Couldn't go past the foccacia at Sfoglia afterwards as it was so good last week, but this time came with only a scraping of butter rather than a drenching. Still good though, and probably better for arteries.

Cockies training on Black Mountain. Ran from the back of CSIRO over to the other side of little black mountain for some intervals.

Did four little 2 control courses as intervals. Was a bit of a struggle really. Felt pretty stuffed and navigated quite badly. At least it was a balmy morning so nice not to be frozen as well.

Ran with a few cockies from our place. Did a lap of Southwell Park then back to the loop streets in north lyneham for hill ints.

Hill intervals on the loop streets of North Lyneham like bilbys sometimes do. 6 on the way out and 6 on the way back. Was quite fun as far as hill intervals go.

Cockies run from usual place. Ran up Mt Majura, through lots of single tracks in the pines, then over Hackett Hill. Beaut morning. Nice run followed by yummy foccacia toast at sfoglia.

Cross Country at Dunrossil Drive. 2 laps of GG's driveway. Paced it a bit wrong, prob went out a bit hard as got tireder and slower every km. Wasn't very fun really as painful and watched a few of my nemesises getting further and further ahead. Reasonably happy with time considering.

Early morning run with Mace, Shannon and Kylie at ANU and did intervals. Pretty chilly but very glad I got up after almost not.

Sunday long run from the usual place with acejase, shep and robw. Got excited early on thinking that the sleet was snow, which others were reluctant to agree with, but then a little bit later going up Ainslie it really did snow and all were convinced. Was very bleak on the top of Ainslie in the fog. Was a bit weary but dragged myself up Majura purely to try and earn the cinnamon toast at deli marco afterwards.

Went for a run with acejase and Abby and Zoe in the double pram. Ran from tilleys on the bike path to lake and around over kings ave bridge and commonwealth ave bridge and back up the bike path to tilleys. Took a few short shifts pushing the pram and quickly got quite sore in some muscles that aren't used to being used. Must have been good strength training. Abby and Zoe really liked it, well they slept the whole time so there must have been a nice amount of bumps.

Hill intervals. Did long hills (1.40ish) and short hills back up the other side (25ish sec). 5x each. Tough. Felt much better running hard today.

Ran with Shannon, Mace and Kylie from ANU. Very crispy morning indeed. Intervals from down near the levels to the road above the orange tunnel. I only really did the first interval properly then just ran the rest slower cos had a weird not being able to breathe feeling when I tried to run hard which was probably just my lungs cracking it in the cold, but it didn't feel too good. Must be a bit out of practice.

Did 4x my old 1ish km loop n single tracks and fire trails on bruce ridge. 3.51, 3.48, 3.48, 3.48. Was much faster than I ever used to do them. Woohoo! Must have been very fresh after being quite lazy recently.
