| Time to wind another year down. It's been a good one. We had some friends over to Nahant last night, ate, talked, and played games by the fire.
Feeling healthy. Took a run around gorgeous Nahant (route)
Spent about 6 minutes picking my way through coastal rocks around Bass point, avoiding a few patches of ice. Enjoyed running around the pier, and seeing the lobster boats, many of which were shrink wrapped for the winter. |

| Barb's dad, Stan, does this 6.5 mile walk 3 times a week when he's not stirring up a revolution. It's a nice route; quite scenic. Apparently the woods are part of 68,000 acres of forest preserve surrounding Chicago. |

| in Park Forest, Illinois. Morning jog into a forest preserve. The terrain was very flat, but with distinhuishable contours. I thought it might bear some similarity to the Batona event. |
