Shoehoed into Shell Pond in Evans Notch Maine for a day of bushwacking and climbing with Tom, Richard, Geoff, Akiko, and Ramona. The crags are south facing, so the ice was pretty sun baked and compromised. We found the best, biggest flow. Richard and I led up a couple lines, then we set up some top ropes and ran up and down them several times before hiking back out.
On the hike in, we passed this cool, old
stone house. The house has it's own airstrip and is situated next to Shell Pond.
