The response, from both the public and the press, to the new UK plan has been universally damming. But at least the parodies of the new slogan are amusing, and then there was the press conference. The chief scientific adviser and the chief medical officer did their best to help Boris out, but there were times at which they were noticeably cringing at his statements. Then a statement today took the prize, when Boris mistakenly said that COVID was in the water supply. That sent the press teams scrambling to issue corrections. Is he getting his info from Donald?

Exercise session 25:00 [3]

Pyramid session

Watched the PM's speech last night and was underwhelmed by the performance and the lack of content and clarity. Some one needs to tell him that a new slogan is not a substitute for a properly thought out and presented plan.

Along embankment, heading west. Pushed into new territory, extending past Prince Albert bridge for the first time. Then back on the other side through Battersea park.
The press is reporting that the UK government is going to replace its current slogan “stay at home, save lives, protect the NHS”, with a new one; “be aware, save lives.” I would have gone with “stay aware, stay alive”. No sign of any proper policy though, but who needs good policy when you have snappy slogans.
