Note

Heart a little better today I think, although still feeling a bit groggy and grumpy in general. Seemed absolutely fine biking yesterday and running today and noticably better after than before. Only seems to be an issue at rest, but getting itself back on track quicker today than yesterday.

Longer run again taking it easy. Just let it roll and ended up on a nice route over Burbage, through Longshaw, over Blacka and back down to Limb. This felt fine and even managed a relatively technical section of descent on Blacka with very little discomfort.

Home from National Coalmining Museum via Emley Moor Mast. Nice ride through some rolling countryside. Avoided the bigger hills to take it easy, apart from Crookes at the end, that is.

50km (ish - battery ran out).

Note

More strange rhythms yesterday afternoon and evening and another wakeful period in the night where I had some more traditional palpitations - i.e. heart beating twice as fast for a few beats then returning to normal. Seems worse lying on my side, but hard to say for sure. I am not very impressed with my body at the moment.

Botched attempt to cut the Sky's Edge loop short. Got lost and ended up running pretty much the full thing anyway. Felt a bit dead for 30ish then felt decent towards the end. Heart a bit odd through Norfolk Park an a slight headrush there but seemed OK apart from that.

Note

Noticed a strange flutter in my chest over the last couple of days and it was more persistent last night, so checked my heartrate. Very odd - it kept slipping out of a normal - - - - rhythm into a -- -- -- -- rhythm as if it was missing every third beat. Never racing but just slow and steady in a different pattern. Of course once noticed, it was impossible to forget about leading to a poor night. Yesterday was the hardest I have pushed my heart for some months - can a heart get DOMS?

Spirals! This was such a pleasure I almost forgot about my niggles. Slow to get into it but managed to beat all my times on the way back down the pyramid: 42, 47, 49, 57, 64; 62, 56, 47, 44, 39.
