Hunterhouse Road reps. 2.09, 2.11, 2.07, 2.04, 2.03, 2.01. Slow to get going but moving OK by the end, helped along by Cake on the ipod. The sun has gone down and the moon has come up/and long ago somebody left with the cup. Sounds about right.

From Ringinglow onto the Exterminator route. Wore headphones and listened to music on a run for the first time ever. This has always been against my philosophy of running, but I tried it on Kim's recommendation. Her diagnosis earlier in the week was that I am no longer injured, but still think I'm injured due to my unhealthy obsession with that particular part of my body, which I am constantly analysing and scanning for pain. So this is a distraction technique, as was the decision to run a more technical loop. Well, it seemed to work and I enjoyed the run in spite of the somewhat eclectic mix on Jenny's old shuffle.

Hero's at lunchtime. Felt pretty comfortable on all three, deliberately backed off a little on the third. 5.57, 5.49, 5.58. Realised that my old marker of the lamp post at the apex of the hill is no longer there and I am now using a telegraph pole a little further on. Not a big difference but maybe 4secs per rep. Look I will take any silver linings I can find right now.
