Very tentative jog, walk, stretch around Wickstead Park. Flat and off road, which was ideal. Sore to begin with but eased and felt looser later on in the day. Still very niggly though and quick to irritate with the slightest gradient.

Evening ride down to the River Derwent for a lovely swim. Dry and warm again within seconds. Lovely evening for a ride.

At a wedding in Northamptonshire. Had a good excuse not to do too much dancing, but made the mistake of drinking too much beer instead.

Visit to Kim to look at my sore knee. Still very tender when walking up and down any kind of slope or steps. Need to chill out for a while longer it seems.

Other than the knee I feel pretty recovered now after a few days of good sleep and refueling. Astonishingly, my back and SI joint have felt the best they have for months if not years. Good job really, as I have needed to sit down a lot more than normal to take the weight off the knee!
