Running 15:55:00 [4] 129.0 km (7:24 / km) +6990m 5:49 / km

Transgrancanaria. Most of this was great; I felt really good, the trails were beautiful, I was eating and drinking well. The final 15km was horrible; it was roasting hot, I was struggling to stay cool, I tried to eat a gel and was spectacularly sick. 15km is a long way on an empty stomach, but I managed to hold a solid pace and got by on sips of water. Very happy indeed to make it into the finish and had some great support from Alex and Jen, Chris, Victoria and Havi and Paul and Claire along the way, which really helped. 16th place, which was about as good as I could have hoped for off a limited block of training and too few long runs. Phew.
