The Heart of Darkness, another Dark Peak challenge of yore. Start at the bottom of the landslip in Castleton (i.e. the edge of the Dark Peak); follow gridline 13 North to the Grinah Stones (the centre of the Dark Peak); hop over to gridline 14 and follow it South all the way back. Ran with Lova and had a good day out. The weather was billed as being very wet, but there was just a warm mizzle for the first three hours. The proper heavy rain started on Kinder on our return leg, but didn't persist for long. Some proper rough stuff at the far end and a bit of bracken on all the lower slopes, but there was a fair bit of good running too. Felt good and it seemed to loosen off my back, etc.
