Orienteering race 38:50 [5] 6.0 km (6:28 / km) +200m 5:33 / km

Brimham Rocks middle. Threw away a chunk of time at number one, where the rock mapping didn’t seem to make much sense. OK after that until some more smaller mistakes towards the end. Great fun, but frustrating not to have coped with it better!

Short warm up and down. Tweaked my back on the course, so not much after.

Orienteering 38:30 [4] 7.5 km (5:08 / km) +150m 4:40 / km

Schools league at Shirebrook. Mostly path running, but a good course that kept you thinking. Made a silly route choice towards the end that took me to within 20 m of the control, but unable to get to it across an (unmapped) wall of brambles and a stream. Had to run back half the leg to find an alternative. Got very muddy. Sort of fun.
