Edgehill Road session. Felt pretty tired heading out for this, but better as the session went on as reflected in the times. Think I have Alex’s cold lingering, but thought this would be worth a crack anyway as the hard sessions have been few and far between recently.

Blue skies day, and felt pretty good this morning considering. Up to the Langdale Pikes via Easdale Tarn, back via Silver Howe. Such a nice route and had the snowy Langdale plateau all to myself. A real treat.

Lovely day out over Great Rigg, Fairfield, St Sunday, down to Patterdale, Catstye Cam, Helvellyn, Seat Sandal, Steel Fell, Helm Crag. Very snowy on the high fells, where I spent most of the time, but OK in fell shoes, with the exception of the descent off Fairfield, where I scared myself a bit on some steep frozen snowfields and had to do some backtracking to find a safe route. Pretty knackered by Dunmail, but stuffed my face with mint cake and perked up again. Beats picketing any day!

Still on strike, so headed to the Lakes for a dose of hills. From Grasmere over Silver Howe, Loughrigg and Heron Pike. Up in the snow on the tops, bit of a sketchy descent.
