Mill River loop. Tried to keep up a good pace on tired legs. Had done a one hour Mt Tom family hike in the AM.

Saturday Mar 30

Orienteering 1:21:14 [4] 6.96 mi (11:40 / mi)
WCOC meet at Pond Mountain. Red course: 6.96 k, 230 m. (I record O-distances as miles in my training log.) Ideal day, about 60 deg. I ran slowly with careful mapreading and made no big mistakes. (If only I could run faster and do that ...)

Westfield Half-Marathon. Blustery, 40's. Steady effort; slowed a little the last three miles. 80 seconds ahead of Peter; a minute behind Jim Plaza who passed me at 8 miles. AHR 153; MHR 159.

Loop down Trapp Hill to Barrows and up Luce hill to Trapp hill. Bitter cold (12 deg), so I layered up and felt like the Michelin man.

Puffers pond from U Mass. (Took road around construction.) Steady, pretty easy pace. AHR: 138. MHR: 148.

SMAC fun run from John Berard's. Peter took us for a tour of Conway State Forest. I struggled to keep up on the hills, but hung in OK. About 2000 feet of climb.
