Went with Adam to NEOC event at Brainard for training. We did the score-o together after he did a pretty clean orange course in 41:00 (3.7k). Mostly walking, but jogged a bit on the flat trails/roads.

Orienteering hike at Mt. Tom, finishing a first stab at a blue course. Krum was out there, updating the map. Too buggy to call this pleasant.

Leeds-Haydenville loop, moderate pace.

After stretching and lifting at Smith. Sorer today than yesterday. Beginning my eccentric exercises for the hamstring, the "only proven effective treatment" according to one website. Rebuilds the injured tendon.

Felt easier. Guess I'll have to build up to doing a mile at a stretch. (Challenge is more psychological than physical.) Who knows, maybe there's a triathlon in my future. (But you have to be able to run for that.)

Boyden "fitness center". (They broke ground on the new state-of-the-art fitness center with an indoor track, but it's over a year away from opening.) Hamstring is feeling a lot better, but I need to be patient since it's still tight and sore when I stress it.

Modest pace, keeping gears low. Probably not much aerobic benefit. I tried to head out 66 to Westhampton, but they're repaving the road and I didn't want to ride on gravel, so I turned around and headed out to Leeds.

| swim 18:20 [3] 0.5 mi (36:38 / mi) | |

UMass pool, 32 laps, working on my pecs. Not really a half mile, since laps of 25 yards, not 25 meters; but close enough.

(injured)
In a lot of pain today: sitting, walking, trying to bend down. This is the low point; it can only be up from here.
