Saturday Nov 17

Running in terrain 1:19:25 [2] 9.03 km (8:48 / km)
shoes: Wal*Mart Carson
Mostly on trails in the Watatic area, north on the Wapack as far as Teenage Wasteland, then back and up to the summit, and down to the road on a not particularly recommended route, a very steep descent along an old telephone line ride, quite slippery. And finishing up with a short jaunt on the road. I was wheezing for much of this, no doubt a consequence of the cold air temperature, just a few degrees above freezing. A very nice afternoon, mostly sunny and brisk.
C • Teenage Wasteland? Must be ... 4
C • What happened to the ups? ... 1
Note
I had aspirations of hang gliding today, but the wind was a bit strong, and maybe due to the low temperature, nobody else seemed interested. BUT... I did go up to Morningside and take the H-3 written test, which I passed, and I am now an Intermediate hang glider pilot. I was hoping to pull this off before the end of the year, and it looks like I just squeaked it in. Might be no more flying until Spring. But you never know.
C • Congrats on the level 3!! ... 2

Friday Nov 16

Note
AOWN: Time to buy some mousetraps. Although there is a bit of a mystery, in that although I have what I feel to be clear evidence of mouse activity, I also find myself surprised by the idea that mice would be capable of moving several Hershey's Kisses into a room across the house, and lifting them onto a shelf that's about ten inches above the floor. Is something more nefarious going on here?
C • You'd be surprised... 26
