Sunday Mar 9

Note
One of the paraglider pilots posted some video from Wellfleet on Friday. You can see my glider some of the time, and a little stick figure that's me, but he didn't have the camera on during the brief stretches when I was in the air. (Note: don't watch this video if you get airsick easily!)

Friday Mar 7

Hang gliding! (Wellfleet) 49:00 [4] +128m
shoes: Wal*Mart Carson
Seven sled rides down the 60 foot bluff to the beach, the longest lasting probably a little over a minute. The wind was strong enough for paragliders to soar, but for hang gliding, another 5 mph would have been good. This was a day when I spent a lot more time carrying the glider up the hill (and along the beach) than it spent carrying me. Still, a day at the beach is a day at the beach, and now I've finally flown in my own home state.

Thursday Mar 6

Note
I'm not going to log what I did today, because I don't feel like adding a category called "automotive dragging" that I'm unlikely to use again, but I will note that after my feat of strength, I was told, "You're like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Archimedes rolled into one".

Wednesday Mar 5

Push-ups 50 [5]
Pull-ups 16 [5]
I wasn't able to stay on top of these during February, so I'm not going to bump them up to 17 until next month.
Sit-ups 1:40 [5]
Note
It appears that the cold that was clearly bearing down on me a week ago was successfully averted. Sore throat for a couple of days, and a little bit of sniffles, but no full-blown illness.
