Event: WCOC Sessions Woods

Orienteering 1:08:30 [4]*** +300m
slept:8.0 weight:170lbs shoes: Newer Salomons
Sessions Woods meet, 6.0 km red course, plenty of climb, mostly in second half of course. Nice day, bit cool, nice courses.
Orienteering race 18:30 [4]*** 2 km (9:15 / km)
shoes: Newer Salomons
Sprint course, Sessions Woods O meet. Did this (as did everyone else, I think) after running the regular course. Totally clean run, for a change.

This was the third meet I've tried running without my left contact lens. I'd forgotten what it's like to be able to read the detail on the map. Makes depth perception a bit iffy, but being able to read the detail seems worth the cost.

Red - Splits

Running 45:00 [3]4.5 mi (10:00 / mi)

Bald Rock map, standard shorter hill route.
Wanted to push it a bit, but not much giddyup in head or legs. Maybe still tired from the Huntington and Osbornedale meets this weekend.

Sunday Oct 29

Orienteering race 1:33:00 [3]*** 6.2 km (15:00 / km) +350m 11:42 / km
shoes: Newer Salomons
O meet, Osbornedale, lots of climb, lots of wind.
Pushed hard at Huntington yesterday. Pretty dead legs today.
