Event: WCOC Ansonia Nature Center meet

Orienteering race 57:30 [4]*** 6.2 km (9:16 / km)
weight:170lbs shoes: Newer Salomons
Ansonia O meet (Team benefit), 6.2 km, nice course, nice weather. Clean run, no problems.
Orienteering race 43:00 [3]*** 3.9 km (11:02 / km)
shoes: Newer Salomons
Ansonia sprint/short course. Turned out to be 3.9 km rather than the advertised 2.9 km. Pretty tired from earlier red course, but no big problems.

Red - Splits

Friday Nov 24

Running 40:00 [3]4.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Older Salomons
Quick run with Susie out back, on Bald Rock map. All trails, good number of hills.
Weights & Stretching 20:00 [2]
shoes: Bunny Slippers
Usual weights and stretching routine.

Thursday Nov 23

Running 2:30:00 [2]** 5.0 mi (29:59 / mi)
shoes: Older Salomons
Setting hash with Susie, for Thanksgiving pre-dinner hash. Huntington map. Miserably cold and pouring rain, in general a lovely day for a hash. Some trails, some woods, some slogging through calf deep water.

Sunday Nov 19

Event: NEOC: Blue Hills Traverse

Orienteering race 2:46:00 [4]*** 13.3 km (12:29 / km)
shoes: Newer Salomons
Blue Hills Traverse. Good course, nice day if a bit cool and overcast. Terrible map reading for first 30 minutes or so, then merely occasional map reading mistakes for a while, then finally clean for the fnal 6 or 8 controls.

On paper the course didn't seem unusually hard, but my legs sure felt beat after the race.
