Start at Bluemont Junction, go down the Four Mile Run Trail to Shirlington, return on the W&OD to Bluemont Junction, take the Bluemont Junction Trail to the Custis Trail, follow that to the W&OD, go to Idylwood Park and return to Bluemont Junction. Ran with Nick Panebianco who is training for the B&A Marathon. Stopped the watch at a few stops. Surprised I was able to complete it all given the recent troubles with my left knee and lack of sleep this week. I ran much slower than my usual paces, took an aspirin for the knee (something I never have done before), carried water (spilled half of it), ate Cliff Bars and Gu about every 4 miles and wore light training shoes. It was cold starting off but nice after the first 2 miles.
