Sunday Oct 29

Event: WCOC Osbornedale State Park

Orienteering hills 1:24:54 [3] 6.2 km (13:42 / km) +350m 10:41 / km
Osbornedale O meet, red course. Lots of climb. One poor route choice, a few bobbles around controls so overall about a B run. Legs a bit tired from yesterday but I'm not sure I would have been running the hills anyway.

Red - Splits

Saturday Oct 28

Event: WCOC DuO #3, Huntington

Orienteering 2:48:00 [3]
Du-O #3 at Huntington. Did it all on foot as a score-O. Pretty sloppy run, not paying close attention.
Hashing 1:12:00 [3]
Set by Zack from old train station in Bethel. Mix of roads and woods. All of the chalk marks on the roads had been washed away by the deluge just before the hash. Zack helped us along and added more marks along the way. Pretty tired from the orienteering but still able to jog much of it.

Saturday Oct 21

Event: WCOC Tarrywile Meet

Orienteering race 59:06 [4] 5.4 km (10:57 / km)
Tarrywile green course. Lots of trail options so was a fairly fast run. Some hesitations and slow on some of the steep terrain but no real problems. Nice course set by Peter Polivka.
Hashing 2:00:00 [3]
Set by Cliff in Wilton. Not really that much distance but we had lots of trouble finding chalk marks. I was feeling pretty tired from the hilly O course.

Wednesday Oct 18

Weights 15:00 [2]

Sunday Oct 15

Event: Hudson Highlander

Orienteering long 5:22:00 [4] 26.3 km (12:15 / km)
Some bobbles but no major mistakes although I can't claim to have done all my own orienteering. Within site of Rick until 18, then finished the course with Tracy O. Felt good given that I haven't done much long distance lately. Started cramping going up the hill to 21 but it seemed to ease some after that.
