Orienteering race 59:56 [4] *** 5.1 km (11:45 / km) +115m 10:34 / km

CNYO's NE Classic champs. So-so run. Lost a little time on 2 and 4. Lost 4 minutes on 5. Planned to go through swampy area but when I got there it looked so bad I ran all the way around on the trail to the field. The field was terribly slow though.

All 3 courses this weekend were fun with varied terrain and lots of route choices.

CNYO A meet, NE Sprint Champ

Fast sprint around Hope Lake. Couple bobbles: hesitated near circle at 1 cause I just wasn't reading the map well enough to figure out where the linear thicket was, went slightly left up the hill to 3 but saw it through the woods and climbed through green stuff to get it, confused when I got near 8 and looked to the right of the trail before realizing which trail I was on. Probably a minute to 2 minutes of mistakes.

Orienteering race 43:21 [4] *** 3.52 km (12:19 / km) +115m 10:35 / km

Middle distance NE champs at CNYO

Not a bad run until 12--lost 3 minutes or so, slow through slash area then didn't know where I was on the trail, saw a control in the woods, went to it but wasn't mine, then finally relocated on the fence along the trail. Really dumb. Lost 30 seconds at 2 going to another control in the yellow area, hesitated near 6 cause I wasn't sure where I crossed the creak.
