Orienteering (Club training weekend) 1:30:00 [2]
shoes: Inov8 Trailroc 255

Map walk and then control placement, again with 2 less experienced club members, on the excellent Barombogies granite map.

12 PM

Orienteering (Club training weekend) 25:00 [4]
shoes: Inov8 Trailroc 255

Control collection at Barombogies after other club members had completed a short course.

A really enjoyable weekend with easily the largest turnout we have had in many years for a training camp with 28 active participants plus 5 young "future" orienteers. Very encouraging was the number of very keen juniors who attended. Although I didn't do a lot of difficult orienteering, it was good be back out running in the terrain.

Orienteering (Club training weekend) 1:20:00 [2]
shoes: Inov8 Trailroc 255

Cyanide Dam: aiming off exercise with 2 of our less experienced members who took turns in navigating around a short course. Followed this with a 2 person spider relay with Angela, one of the 2 from the earlier exercise. She is a rogainer and adventure racer so is pretty fit and we finished a close 2nd to to "gun" (maybe unofficial??) team of Briohny and Deb. Collected a few controls afterwards.

Orienteering (Club training weekend) 1:15:00 [1]
shoes: Inov8 Trailroc 255

Putting out and collecting the controls for the Night O at Lake Alexandra in Chiltern.

Short morning run down to the highway and return. Very warm ahead of 3 straight days around 40 degrees. Saw my Cardiologist yesterday and he upped the MHR on pacemaker to 140 and I hit that pretty much straight away!
