shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 18 red

First longer run to start preparations for the H&H half in October. Also test run with new hydration pack - will need some small adjustments. Cold, windy and misty but managed to avoid the heavier rain before and after. Ran from Briohny's place (after dropping boys at Child Care) out through Rawling's Park and return.

Orienteering race (Interclub #7) 1:08:08 [5] ***** 4.84 km (14:04 / km) +90m 12:52 / km
spiked:13/16c shoes: Mizuno Wave Kazan trail

Penultimate Interclub at Rowdy Flat, Yackandandah. A wet and windy day on a very difficult area. Started well and no errors to speak of through to #9, moving well through the terrain and reading the map detail as well as I ever have here. Then the rain really set in and, having no visor or hat, my glasses soon got very damp and I had trouble reading the map. Slowed down to compensate but my glasses then fogged up! Resorted to squinting at the map then taking my glasses off when I was running. Missed 10 well to the right but managed to relocate OK, took it very slow on 11, 12 and 13 before my glasses somehow cleared and finished OK. Very good course and enjoyed the run a lot despite the weather!
