From Briohny's house to the airport to pick up her car. She and Ryder flew out to Perth this morning. Very cold start but warmed up nicely. A few equipment malfunctions on the way (shoes laces, water bladder) and temporarily forgot to restart my Garmin after stopping to talk to a mate, but otherwise OK. Won't be in a hurry to run along Inglewood Rd again as too much (airport) traffic and little or no verge to run on.

Orienteering race (NSW State League 11a) 16:12 [5] *** 2.59 km (6:15 / km) +22m 6:00 / km

First of 2 Sprints for Day 2 of the Schools Champs at Wollongong Uni. Pretty clean run but poor route choice to 15 lead me to a wall that I probably could have crossed but decided to go back and around, losing about 40 secs and 1st place. Didn't start my Garmin until I got to the first control!

Orienteering race (NSW State League 11b) 19:24 [5] *** 2.9 km (6:41 / km)
spiked:18/19c shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 18 red

Sprint race 2 at Wollongong Uni. A more complex course with more controls but about the same distance, also a bit more climb. Stupid error on 10 when I missed a turn and then amplified it by not seeing I could cut across from near 11! Still managed to win the race and overall on combined times with the morning run. Forgot to start he Garmin so distance is a guestimate!
