| so I went back to the doctor today. as expected the xrays showed nothing useful. going for an MRI tomorrow. the swelling went down lots since last week and the doc still can't find the fcl.
one of our more optimistic coaches said that the reason it didn't hurt when I did it was because I must have torn it completely. they only hurt for partial tears, if you go all the way through you can't feel a thing. woohoo. doc says I can run and lift and do everything on it, I just can't wrestle. not even drilling for two weeks. all the bending front/back tendons are fine, its the whole fat-guy-twist-knee-to-side thing thats the problem. the run on it today felt fine, I'm gonna try some real light squat work tomorrow. | ||

| went to see the orthopedist at sports med today. he poked and bent it into lots of painful positions. said there was something wrong with the 'fibular collateral' ligament, ie its not there. thats the little one on the outside behind the joint. going in for x-rays tomorrow. | ||

32 man bracket matches: first round bye. SC: got thrown to my back first pd (5 pts for the other guy), got off and rode legs for last 5 mins. won 8-5. Norwich: big pudgy guy. haha. won by tf 3rd pd, 16-0. BSC: same big dude as last week. he bent my knee in a really bad position then pushed real hard. it made a sound kinda like cracking your knuckles only you could hear it from 100m away. the trainers couldn't find anything wrong and it didn't really hurt, so I finished the match, won 5-2. the last match (finals) was supposed to be against another SC guy, but because of the knee thing I took a medical forfeit. definitely a good thing becuase while it hasn't swollen up at all, it kinda crunches when I move it. calm down dad the trainers have me under control. 2nd place. | ||
