| to Parker Mesa Overlook from Los Liones trailhead. uphill all the way there (steep in places), same route back. totally socked in with rolling fog from the ocean, couldn't see 50 feet. but the trail sign said the view was good. | ||

| super early morning run from the rich people's neighborhood to eagle rock and back. no big climbs, just gentle climbing going out, nice long downhills coming back, all on exposed ridgeline fire roads. hit the ridge just in time to see the [purple] sunrise.
its funny because the trailhead is in the back of this super rich community, and its only got about 10 parking spaces, but its surrounded by an 8 foot rought iron fence, and has this super elaborate iron gate over the entrance. its far too upscale to sit around stinking after a run. the patrolling security guard was eyeing me a bunch. | ||

| NOD in Vermont Canyon, Hollywood (you can see the hollywood sign from #6). A brutal score-o with tons of climb. my route had 780 meters (yes thats 102 contours x 25ft) of climb in about 10k. but it was still fun.

saw a coyote 20ft in front on the trail down. he darted off the trail, don't know where he went, but the scrub was so thick and coyote colored that he could have gone 5 feet in and stopped and I never would have seen him. | ||
