Saturday Nov 3

run 1:37:00 [3]10.3 mi (9:24 / mi)
palisades ridge trail. felt really tired, legs were dead by about halfway through. It didn't help that I started chatting with some random fast guy at the bottom of the big climb in the middle (1.5 miles - 800ft) so trying to talk to him and keep up was pushing it a little.

Thursday Nov 1

soccer 1:00:00 [3]
been kinda sick all week, had a sore throat from the smoke last week. feeling better today though. must have been the stir-fried spaghetti squash last night.

Tuesday Oct 30

rollerblade 50:00 [3]15.5 km (3:14 / km)

Monday Oct 29

roller ski 1:12:00 [3]19.2 km (3:45 / km)

At the grocery store this morning I found something called a "spaghetti squash". I've always wondered what grew on spaghetti trees.
C • We grew that in Towson one ... 2

Sunday Oct 28

orienteering 1:42:00 [3]8 km (12:45 / km)
Blue day 2. Same map as Saturday, and given that we covered most of the map on yesterday's course except fo the mostly-solid-green gigantic hill on the eastern end, we were all expecting the worst. Not to be disappointed, halfway through the first loop I got to run straight up a patchy-open gully all the way up the green hill, and then back down some more good stuff on the other side. But other than that the legs were longer than yesterday so you could sort of go around some of the bad parts. I made myself a pair of duct tape ankle gaiters, though even those got a few sticks poked through them. Also I put a stick through the sole of the arch of my shoe, but couldn't get it out until after the finish when I found a pair of pliers. Made a lot more mistakes than yesterday, a few minutes on a few controls, but it seemed we all had trouble, so I was only a few minutes behind BAOC Greg and managed to sneak in a few seconds ahead of Ben again, so I held onto the lead for the weekend.
C • Congrats on the win! Must ... 2
run 1:00:00 [2]
I was the lucky one that got to pick up the two controls from the top of the giant green hill. Just in case there was any skin left on my legs.
C • route? 2
