Got the new rollerblades yesterday. These things are hot. And wicked fast. And despite being a full size too small, the boots actually fit pretty well. They've got a much lower cuff compared to the old ones, which gives almost no support, so if I don't have rock solid ankles by the end of the summer I don't know what I'll do. But the wheels are a lot bigger, so they roll over bad pavement much better.

yea definitely raining down at the marina this morning.
The eskimos have a couple dozen words for snow, but down here we have a couple dozen words for how the air tastes. And this morning it was definitely 'wet diesel'. Thats actually one of the grosser ones.

Eastern Angeles NF. This one actually turned out to be fairly epic. Started from the bottom of Big Tujunga canyon and climbed 4000' up to the ridgeline in about 6 miles. A quick side trip up and back to Fox Pk, then another two miles along the ridge to Condor Pk. Another four miles along the ridge (up and down and up and down and up and down) to Iron Mt, and then all the way back the way I came. Sunny all day, and the peaks were pretty low (5500' ish) so it was pretty hot the whole time. Not too much in the way of views, I wasn't high enough to get above the haze. Maybe 8 hours rt.
C • Condors? 3
