Decided to do a hard run on the treadmill. It is 7 degrees above zero today. Every 4 minutes either ran up a 6% grade for 1 minute or sprinted at 6:15 mile pace for 1 minute. When I was done, my hips were sore, my lower abs were sore and I was beat. As I get older, it is harder to throw in a hard day if I haven't been running frequently and intensely. It seems like every week is another increasing distance or speed to get back to where I could do a hard day every week. Frustrating.
