mountain biking 2:00:00 [3] 7.2 mi (16:40 / mi) +251m 15:02 / mi

Did lots of parking lot skills while waiting for Jason, Shane, and Jan. Did XC, Ruggles, fire road to Baker Rd. and then the new Morman Hollow Return, still rough in the middle, but probably soon to be awesome. Climbed back up Damon Camp to Whale's head, went back for Jan, then Moose Tracks, Lookout trail, Porcupine trail, and then a major sprint in 2-5 to the Ranger Station.

Wendell with Jason and Matt Green. Chestnut Hill road to Bryanty's clearcut, westbound trail to M&M trail to power lines, up to rock at top, up connector to Frost, over Chestnut Hill via whatever trail branches from Frost. Up Chestnut Hill road past cemetery, left onto ? road, up powerlines to rock again, down to M&M trail (?) onto road onto Snowmobile trail (?) to Montague road. Matt and I left Jason and road the fireroads to Baker road at the top and ran into Bob, then Moosetrax, Lookout, Porcupine, and back to Ranger station, with me winning the sprint. Granted, Matthew was on a downhill demo bike! We might have done one other trail too, I can't remember.

mountain biking 2:00:00 [4] 10.4 mi (11:32 / mi) +465m 10:08 / mi

Liam and I started at the Notch visitor center, rode Earl's side first-3C to Glenna Bell and then back on 3C. Next we went down 116 a bit and ducked in on the first trail we came across. We thought we were getting on the trail that started last year's organized ride. Nope. We got lucky though and picked the right combination of trails and eventually found ourselves on the powerlines. We took roller coaster down to the parking lot, then Far East, Twister, Technical Trail, Raptor, "TY", and then a series of large-stoned two tracks back to the notch. Seemed like more mileage...

Shutesbury B.Unlimited ride: Shop to Turners to Montague, 47-63 cutover to N. Leverett Road, Lake Wyola, S on Locks Pond Rd to Shutesbury, down (dangerously due to some slower riders we waited for, who had to then try to one-up us...) to East Leverett on Leverett Road/Shutesbury road,to Leverett, depot road to 63, Bull Hill road, 116, River Road, Shop. Nearly got the Deerfield sprint, and was not far off the Greenfield sprint.

mountain biking 3:00:00 [3] 15.58 mi (11:33 / mi) +451m 10:36 / mi

Wendell Kenda organized ride: Rode with Jason, Scott (lives on Chestnut Hill road right off of Ranger Station), and at times Shane. From the Pavilion parking up the hill to XC trail, Ruggles Pond, 2 Brothers, (Cleared the rock garden finally!), CCC, Lower Lookouts (cleared the Porcupine Lair), Upper Lookouts (nearly cleared the Liam Coccyx breaker), M&M down (instead of Moose Tracks) where I flatted for the first time in ages. My pump was giving me trouble, so I promptly broke Shane's, learned I could blow the tube up with my mouth, and used a CO2 from Jason. By this time Shane was way ahead. We then rode the entire Hannah Swarton from the bottom up, which was actually really fun. Maple leaf, Nipmuck (I ripped it-hitting all drops and the five small jumps). Saxon Bridge rd. to mystery road to Brook road, Hammerhead's Hiatus and ?? Trail to Dirth trail, crossed street to do Curt's trail back to Ranger station. Jan wanted to ride some more (we had passed her on Curt's trail), so she and I did Lower Lookouts and CCC again (cleared everything again-aww yeah). And then I ate delicious BBQ.
