| Gatineau park 8-hour rogaine, with Adam & Dave. Navigation was a bit sloppy since we were taking advantage of the occasion to catch up on news with Adam. Afterwards, we left before results were announced in order to go to a spa and soak in sauna and hot tub before heading to Adam & Dara's for dinner. Beautiful colors in the park! Very nice event. I learned about the Kemp family, a bunch of very talented orienteering kids (& dad). The meal served by the organizers after the rogaine was really good!
On the drive home, listened to a primer on Buddhism and some of Bryson's History of Everything, including the Cambrian Explosion.
I was happy that the knee injury I sustained in the last rogaine seems healed. I just feel the older under-the-kneecap problem. |

| New teacher. Very tough. Embarrassing as usual. She kept coming over and trying to make my body do stuff it just can't. But it was great, and I feel rubbery and light and stronger now. I decided to go because I thought it might help me recover a bit from the cold, and be a little more prepared for tomorrow's (!) long race. |

| When we got home from our plane trip I biked over to Whole Foods for some fruit and veggies and OJ with an eye toward tackling the cold. Would have gotten a roast chicken but it was too late. |
