I think we have passed the last bureaucratic hurdle on bringing over our second orienteering exchange student from Finland for the fall.
In other news, Isak arrived last night and set out by bike today to visit various Cambridge summer camps and convince them to work with Navigation Games this summer to spread the practice of orienteering! Ambassador par excellence.
Update: wow. Isak rocked it today. So far, he scheduled us to do an event with special needs kids at the Rainbow camp; arranged to teach 20 kids at the Moses Youth Center every Friday; agreed to provide a map scavenger hunt every week for the "Mission Possible - Solve It!" program; arranged a one-time event for the Frisoli Youth Center; confirmed that the Cambridge Community Center will send kids to the
Magazine Beach navigation games every Wednesday; and agreed to send orienteering lesson plans to the Cambridge Food Program.
