I enjoyed working with the smallest kids at the Youth Orienteering Series. I worked with children age 2 to 9. It was great. I really like the progression we have developed. There is usually a parent with the kid, and our activities work well if we explain to the kid (& parent) and then the parent goes out with the kid. The Tarzan string-O is particularly amazing in terms of the different levels of ability that can learn from it. I'm excited about including more intermediate steps for learning to read a map, next year, as we are also doing in our after-school classes.
