We held a Navigation Games board meeting today. Here are the slides in case anyone is interested. We are seeking new board members, particularly to racially diversify our board, and bring in fundraising expertise and people well-connecdted in education, esp in the Boston area.

Just got off the phone with Cambridge Public Schools. We're on again for orienteering for 3rd grade, AND, we may be able to expand to some virtual work, and other grades.
yay!

Note

I'm talking to an environmental education organization near Boston that might apply to OUSA Youth Mapping Program to be matched with a mapper. They are pretty sure that there is an old foundation and well and graves on their property but haven't found them by walking around and are wondering whether we might be able to find it with LIDAR. So that will be a fun easter egg hunt for whichever mapper is assigned to that project.

Hi friends.

We talked to Newton Parks & Rec yesterday; bringing CSU and NEOC in bc the Newton people are interested in setting up permanent courses in parks that CSU & NEOC have maps for. Hoping to get them to apply to OUSA for a map for another park. And also hoping they'll hire Nav Games at some point for programming. But in the meantime, I'm feeling good about helping to catalyze the interaction with the (other) local clubs.

Monday Ethan and I put on a program for staff from Waypoint Adventure; they work with people with disabilities.

We've also been talking with Elevate Youth; found out today that we'll get to put on programs with them in Cambridge and one in the Blue Hills; no details yet.

We talked with Farrington Nature Linc; they're interested in the possibility both of a map, and of a Vampire-O.

Tomorrow we're talking to the Cambridge PE curriculum coordinator; hoping we can pick up again with the PE teaching. Fingers crossed.

We submitted another grant to the Cambridge Community Foundation on Monday.

Ethan attended a Project Adventure course today; looking forward to hearing about that. It was online.

Ethan will be working with a "pod" of 4-6 children starting tomorrow afternoon, in Cambridge.

We talked to someone from Cambridge Public Schools yesterday about... oops gotta run.
