Sunny 29℃.

Very warm day. Drank about 4L of water in total, managed ok but it wasn't enough. The climb wasn't bad, hiked up most of it and was at the summit before I knew it. Temperature a bit more bearable on top, but was still sweating a lot. Really enjoying the path over the ridge, felt like I was flying there :)

Ran most of the downhill, seems I never learn... Quads were hurting for days after this. Worth it though. Refreshing dip in the lake afterwards.

Spontaneous O-training :) Ran part of the Men Elite course of the Drenthe 3 days 2013. Started at 4 and finished at 15.

Focused on keeping as close to the line as possible and having good flow. Not really planning ahead and missing some sharpness. Certainly not running full speed, but km-time surprisingly good. Stood still two times for about 15" because I was unsure of where I was.

Achilles quite good. Very enjoyable training, hot on the sand but good feeling running with the a map through the intricate terrain.

Back home with a small detour. Great weather and a very enjoyable ride in general. Legs felt tired, so just turned it into a touristy ride. One blueberry break and 45min break after 22km. Was able to refill the bottle once, so had enough to drink. Coincidentally the same pace as this morning.

Achilles bit sensitive at the start, eased off later but there was always a little niggle. Body felt heavy. Still a nice run though, explored a grassy trail I'd never been yet, past the two wind turbines currently being build.

Nice weather for running. Tired feet/legs from standing and walking all day at work, so took it easy. Achilles a bit more sensitive after stretching halfway. Probably a bit ambitious to run 7k, but thought it would be fine. Not completely satisfied with how right achilles felt, but still, progress :)

Plan was max. 30k, but felt good and so turned it into a spontaneous exploration of some roads I'd never been yet. Fun. Hungry near the end because I hadn't taken any food. Coping well with the heat, drank 1,5L which was enough to make it home.
