Good course setting. Happy with my race, almost mistake free. Forest was pretty dense, overgrown and nasty in places. Noticed that I started losing focus a bit near the end and not pushing as hard as I could physically in fear of making bigger mistakes.

Didn't feel tired from yesterday's activity. Knee etc. all holding up well. Enjoyable race :)

1) Wanted to aim off more south to the ditch, but before I could do that I already spotted the control 10m away.
2) Two guys happily showed me the control :)
3) Ran round the thicket and spotted it, cheering over my super start.
4) Perfect.
5) Not sure where I hit the trail, but saw the control.
6) Only half prepared the route choice, but wasn't a hard one. Could've gone a bit more south in the beginning, added some unnecessary distance. +10". Hesitating in the final part. Was thinking I followed the veg boundary and surprised to not spot the control. +15".
7) Perfect. Very disciplined with compass and it paid off.
8) Good exit, but drifted a bit north. Hard to distinguish the open area. Couldn't spot the control hidden in the ditch. +10".
9) Good.
10) Spotted the narrow ride through the green. Good speed.
11) Again very disciplined with compass.
12) Planned to go straight, but liked the idea of having the trail to guide me into the control. Overtook Edo here. Disciplined map reading.
13) Misread the map a bit and ran into the wrong depression. +5".
14) Couldn't really make out the map until I ran past the large re-entrant just before the control.
15) Didn't read control description, didn't see the control right away and ran on. Turned around to see it there where I expected anyway. +3".
16) Difficulties with the change to forest. Looks better on the map than it felt in reality. Hesitating a lot just before the control. +10".
17) Sloppy exit. Not really a good plan. Hesitating in the final part. +10".
18) Biggest mistake; Was going perfectly on compass, but felt I was more west. After the path crossing in the middle of the leg I decided to run more east and be caught by the ditch. In fact I was running away from it... Hit the cycling path and realised my mistake. +45".
19) Sloppy route, felt more straight. Miscounted the number of ditches and ran too far. +10".
20) Good.
21) Wanted to go more straight from the first path crossing but felt like this route was the best, using good trails for almost all the way.
22+F) Fast finish.

Mist/Overcast -2℃ (Feels like -7℃).

Despite my cold I was already getting grumpy because of the lack of running and having too much energy. First freezing run of this winter. Wore hat+gloves, buff would've been too cold. Feeling ok in general, but right achilles/calf a bit tight strangely enough.
