Orienteering (Control Hanging) 24:42 [3] 2.93 km (8:26 / km) +130m 6:54 / km
shoes: Inov 8 Mudclaw 300 (Yellow)

Tough wee hack up the hill to hang extra unit, then last control (failed unit from Individual). Trying to practice terrain running but legs shot from yesterday. How the hell am I gonna cope with Highlander?

Orienteering (Control Collecting) 20:13 [3] 2.38 km (8:30 / km) +90m 7:09 / km
shoes: Inov 8 Mudclaw 300 (Yellow)

Nice small section to cover, run up to highest control and then work back down gathering 12 units along the way. So chuffed to get it all in, and we had all controls back and tidied away by 1500... great help.

Running Training 26:37 [0] 2.64 km (10:05 / km) +74m 8:51 / km
shoes: Adidas Adizero XT4 (Red)

Oli's 1st attempt at major competition with a go at M10B. He wasn't fazed by the huge start area or the number of folk around. Couple of confused decisions but he otherwise loved it and did really well, coming in 5th of 8 in class (8th of 27 on Course 18)
Don't think it'll be too long before he can cope with most White course decision points without too much help.

Orienteering (Control Hanging) 2:57:14 [3] 12.15 km (14:35 / km) +315m 12:55 / km
shoes: Inov 8 Mudclaw 300 (Yellow)

Control hanging for Scottish Relays after the individual races finished. Had to carry 21 controls up to a cache point so I could drop 10 of them for later on.
Weather improved, then got hotter. I was roasting by the time I got finished. Good workout but oh so tiring at the end of the day.

Easy spin after work with Kate helping her get used to her new pedals and shoes. She was going well, still a lot of work to do on the hills. Nice for me to get out and shake down a busy week at work and pre-relays stress.

Note to self - NEVER forget your cycling glasses, flies, dear god the flies!!

Running Training intervals (Long Speed) 59:47 [5] 11.21 km (5:20 / km) +125m 5:03 / km
shoes: Adidas Adizero XT4 (Red)

SRC Long Speed @ Swanley - pissing rain (actually quite nice)
Easy warm up to catch up group and run with some of the slower folk to find out what we were doing (missed the briefing). 3-4-5-5-4-3 mins fast with rest in between, bit of a mixed bag, worked hard sometimes, not so other times. Nice just to get out to a club session again, not really up for breaking myself again yet.

Not got time to dissect splits yet...

L knee cap starting to get tender on last 3min rep, especially on way back, otherwise legs feeling OK.
