Hill Run race (Trail/Fell) 1:01:32 [5] 10.22 km (6:01 / km) +365m 5:07 / km

Devil's Burdens Relay - Leg 3 with Steve Watters.
Really good effort today, expected to struggle from start but once legs had loosened off along past Bishop Hill I was flying (for me at least)
Climb out of Kinnesswood was typically brutal, fast hike up to crags then we cut left and shortened route but no faster. Lovely blast down to low ground then struggle up to #11. Brad C did really well coming back at us before we got away across towards West Lomond on the single track.
Hard track down to top of Maspie Den is brutal on legs, so fast but something like 3k before a wild descent down the woods.
Evil bastard last 300m up new climb to finish which I was expecting but was even worse than anticipated.
Delighted with performance considering winter I've had...

Half day to pick up kids from school/nursery so took advantage and stopped at Tollohill for a run, stunning at this time of year, we need to get back in there for night O again.
Usual car park, but ran down through community woodland to North to check out trail to Sth Deeside Rd, perfect for route up to remote start/finish if we parked off Sth Deeside Rd.
Followed perimeter where I could along trails, out and back along all the wee access trails, then back down to Sth Deeside Rd again before grinding back up over top a couple more times.

I was broken on last mile though, forced to walk by exhausted legs... bodes well for Devil's on Saturday...
