SRC - Long Hills - COACHING

My 1st night coaching the running club, took them to Robert St and did long hills, up to Mary St cross roads, left up to Gurney St and back, then up to Hudson St and back, then up to Mary St cross roads and down to Ann St then back before a 60s rest after the set.

Faster lads did 4 hard sets of 3 hills, but should maybe have got them to do 5 as they were sat about a little at end (though they beasted it so still worked hard)

Middle folk did 3 or 4 sets, slow folk should have done 3 but most did 2 and a bit.

I did a few hills with folk trying to keep them moving steadily.

Warm down with lads via harbour, Woodcot Brae, Forest Road and back via Bath St.

Successful first session, tired faces after a short hard session.

Lovely but tough windy ride from Edzell over the Caterthuns up Glen Lethnot then back via Edzell Castle. Strong wind early on. So cold later on downhill.
Amazing decent for about 20 mins back down valley. So much to explore up there!
