Note


No offical training today. But I played hide and seek with the kids, and stood around all night at the party. Felt like a long day.

Jogged the mowed path around the house we rented in Lenox MA. It was a nice way to get some training while not going too far away from the family festivities.

The weather outside was frightful, so that meant a training session in the basement. This is exactly why I bought the mini trampoline.

An easy jog (walk up some hills) on the mountain bike trails at SMP. The trail network has completely changed; it almost felt like I was running in a new area. Nice to be in the shady woods on such a hot day.

Tried to do a continuous 70 minute jog at English Landing, but I just couldn't do it. In retrospect, I should have known. I haven't done a "contiuous jog" for a month; and it was 85 degrees and rising.

At my half way point, my body wanted to stop. I stood in the shade for a minute or two, had some gatorade, and let my HR come down. Then I continued on, pushing though, until I just had to stop at 50 minutes.

A tough day, but at least I know where I stand, and where I need to go, to build up my running fitness.
