After almost 14 years of walking/running on the Lawrence river trail, I finally made it to the end, and covered the entire length. And I set a PR for continuous jogging.
My plan was to walk to the power line (as a warmup), jog for 90 minutes, then walk the rest. But the cooler temperatures really helped, and I managed to jog the whole length (after the power line), and to do it in 94 minutes. I was psyched!

A gift from the gods--it was 76 degrees today! So I decided to run the sprint course I set at Bonner Park. I was trying to beat twice John's time. I thought I had made it, but I had remembered his time wrong. Next time I'll push it !!!
I didn't run very hard, but I ran steady--no walking at all. So that's pretty good. And sets a time base for running this course again in the future.
A long slow jog at a new area. I explored Prairie Creek (part of the Platte county greenbelt). It was nice and flat, but paved and open to the sky. It would have been brutal on a sunny day.
But it was nice on a rainy day, and I had the place to myself. I love going to new places, too. So it was a fun run.
