Re-run of the Bonner time trial. I didn't feel very good, running on a full stomach and pushing the pace as hard as I could. I was sucking wind a lot, and had to walk some uphills. Felt "off" the whole time, but my HR graph shows I kept a hard steady pace. In the end, I knocked two minutes off my time.
C • Great bald eagles! You ran on... 2

Moving around at PNS, including a few forays into the woods. I've never run in the woods at PNS before, mostly because it's my summer training ground. The best part, however, was meeting up with Mike and jogging with him for 5 minutes or so at the end.
Note
One last perk to my weight loss: today was my annual doctor's office weigh-in. I got nice comments from both the nurse and the doctor :)

BOK day two: another decent day. Finally, I managed to have two good days in a row--it's been too long.

I literally walked to the first control, to check how tired I was, and how well I could read the map. I had tired legs from the day before (although they were not totally dead) and I was very sleepy due to a party last night, right below our hotel room, that lasted until 12:45 am. I was a bit off, but not too bad.

My goal was no big mistakes, and I did that. Still not very sharp, reacting instead of anticipating, but that's OK. I'm right where I should be for this time of the year, and I have a good list of things I need to work on next.

Another fun outing; thanks Vlad! Great to see all our friends, again too. Too bad we had to rush off to the airport; but back to work tomorrow...

C • Two excellent races! 4
