run/walk warm up/down 20:00 [3]

orienteer race 1:04:50 [4] *** 5.6 km (11:35 / km)
11c

Longview, Green course. Amazing weather: sunny and 60's. Kelly set good courses considering what he was dealt. Old map with a large stream in the middle (but he gave us good crossings) and tons of trails. So, it was a fast course. Managed OK, but it was weird knowing everything was being tracked, and I might have to share my every move with all of AP. But that same fact also made me concentrate a bit more.

Still figuring out how to scan the map and match up my track. I will post it later.

Note

OK, here is the QuickRoute.

I saw Frost/Nixon today, which means I've seen 3 of 5 nominated movies. I plan to see Milk, but I'm not sure about the Reader. Anyone seen it? Our local theater had a deal today, $25 for all 5 movies back-to-back. From 10:30 am to 11:30 pm. Wonder how many people did it?

run/walk 6:40 [0]

The 405 was charged enough to take it out for a very quick test. Fun.

Garmin 405 arrived today! I'm charging it up, so maybe I can use it tomorrow.

ice skate 25:00 [2]
ahr:130

I had the rink to myself today. Weeeeee!

Wore my HR monitor. Most of the time it was above 120, even when I was just tooling around and around. Managed to get it up to 159 when I was going fast. Skated in different directions whenever I felt like it, and practiced backwards crossovers. Wish I could remember how to pivot and turn on the fly.

Muscles not as tired this time--they're beginning to remember how to do this.

The vending machine at the rink had chips, candy bars, and rolls of hockey tape :)

tried some intervals for the first time today. Definitely felt it (quads especially).

Also, saw Slumdog Millionaire today. Loved it.
