Logging some time to cover the hours on my feet at the KS Champs. Great meet, but hard working conditions. Forty degrees with mega-winds, which made it feel much colder. And made it harder to keep registration papers and club banners from sailing away. Thanks to all our volunteers, and those who came out to run.

I wanted to find a place to do hill repeats, so I went to west campus and ran up the hill behind the biotech incubator. Felt like a decent hill, but short. Turns out there's not much climb. May have to look for a better location.
Hanging tapes for my annual 10K test loop. I hung half the tapes today, in two groups (drove in between). Mix of walking and running; intensity is an estimate based on my first outing of the day (my Forerunner battery ran out).
Mid 40s to start, mid 50's by end. Very windy. A beautiful day to be out. I got mentally tired by the end; still hard to concentrate on orienteering for this long (for me). But that's why I set a 10K test loop. Hope to see improvement by the end of the winter. I'll share the course map once all the tapes are up, in case anyone else is interested in trying the course.
