Got some training in at various times of the day as I was working at home. Had an electrician in to do some work, including installing a light switch. So nice to finally be able to turn off the light at both the top and bottom of the stairs. Why don't people think of these things when they build a house???

a trail run at Clinton tonight. Felt surprisingly good. Felt a twinge in the hamstring once or twice but it's much better. Didn't see a single other creature out there tonight.

Wanted to run in the woods to enjoy the 70 degree temps. Wanted to practice moving quickly and reading well. So I went to Rockcrusher and re-ran the New Year's Eve training (the tapes are still out). I thought it would be fun to see how much time I could drop from my first attempt.
That was the plan, any way. You know it's a bad sign when you get to the park and realize you left the map at home (fortunately, it's only 10 minutes from home, so back I went). So many other mistakes out there today. Left one heading 90 degrees off; was too high on 4, missed 7 completely. And while I tried to push the pace and make myself move through the terrain, I took longer today than in December. A total bummer day. Surprised to be so out of shape and to have huge brain lapses. I don't like this recent trend....
