Some things that went well today:
1. no lost kids or serious injuries
2. very few DNF or OVT, so Mike Shifman's courses were pretty good for the IS classes
3. I got a chance to talk (briefly) with lots of great folks, both old and new friends
4. Valerie and Sandy's live results display was awesome
5. the rain stayed away until the very end of the competition
6. The OK and PTOC volunteers did a great job
7. I was able to leave the park by 2:30
8. While Valerie was working her magic on results, and Mike, Paul, Gene and others were putting out day 2 controls, I was able to take a nap
9. (edit) Results and splits were published on the website, Attackpoint and Winsplits by 7 pm. Thank you Valerie!

Training on campus with Ulrik, Jenny, Mike and Paul. They all re-ran some NOD courses from 2010, while I ran a course that Mike drew for me. 19 controls in the same small area. I ran it like a sprint, but it was longer than I expected, so I started to get tired near the end. But overall, this was really fun. It's been a long time since I ran a sprint, and I actually enjoyed running hard tonight. Nice dinner at Biggs afterwards.
Fun times today with a large group of volunteers who stuffed packets and sealed maps. We're all ready now.
Starting to get excited about seeing everyone this weekend. I know I'll barely have time to say hello to all of you, but it will be nice to see you, and to have you enjoy our woods.
