PTOC event at Blue and Gray. I was happy with my physical effort today, but not so happy with the navigation. I should have run out to the fields more often. The trails were tough (horse trails, lots of ruts). I had an issue with the north lines: from 7 to 8, I kept expecting to run into a road! Third on the course, only woman.

Trainer Eric had a sick kid, so he had to cancel tonight's session. So I worked out in the basement instead.

Interesting day at work: I got offered an internal job. I was contacted by the internal recruiter a few months ago. I wasn't looking to change jobs, but this one found me. So time to move on. Back to project management, away from being a department manager. I will NOT miss the personnel dramas.

I did part of our orienteering skills course (compass work) today before I worked at the event. It was fun to be in the woods, watching people and helping them. We had 8 people, which was a better turn out than I expected.
