We had enough snow to ski today but I wasn't sure about the conditions. I walked to Holcom and stepped on my skis. The snow was soft and mushy and stuck to the bottom of my skis. But I was so happy to be outside, and to be skiing near home for the first time in several years, so I pushed myself around one loop (about half the park).
Edit: well, my memory is not so good. I just checked my log. I was able to ski from home in Feb this year. But before that it was 2013.

orienteer 1:00:00 [1]

Another "Orienteering for Women" session today. The time is for putting out and picking up markers.

Twenty women had signed up but as the weather forecast got worse this week, I started getting cancellations. We awoke today to falling snow and -3C temps. In the end, 9 hearty souls made it and we had good time in the beautiful snowy woods. I think these folks might be keepers, since they were willing to stand around for 1 hour first (outside) and then orienteer. They seemed to have fun.
