River trail run. It wasn't too hot and there weren't too many people out. I listened to a podcast which helped a lot. But this was still a slog and my legs were dead and I was so glad when it was over.

Exploring east Lawrence. Saw one house that had corrugated metal siding (reminiscent of Reykjavik) and one street that had >50% houses decorated with pride flags or banners.

Placeholder since Garmin is under siege. Uploaded directly from my watch following DC Rainmaker instructions. Garmin is still under siege.
Vacation day (we have a use it or lose it policy) so I went to Johnson county and got my first haircut since March (and more important, color!). Then I stopped at Stoll and reran an old course. It was hot and humid with no wind, so that sucked.
I had to use lower weights on 2A and 2C. My trainer hasn't seen me in awhile, it must be hard for him to judge what I can do. I told him about the lower weights, we'll see if we need to adjust any other workouts. Workout 4: 3 rounds each tri set 1A: 1 arm DB Row x 12each (20lbs) 1B: TRX Row (Supinated Grip) x 12 1C: DB shrug x 15 (20lbs) 2A: DB Bench Press x 12 (20lbs) (15s) 2B: Incline Push-up x 15 2C: DB Front Raise x 15 (10lb) (5s)
I was inspired by Cristina's Home Run Badge to run in a circle. I had planned a 30 minute run, so I cut my circle to 0.5km. I also added the challenge that I had to stay on grass (except when crossing roads). Helped to make a boring run a bit more fun. Overcast but very muggy.
Workout 3: 3 rounds each tri set 1A: Goblet Squat x 12 (20lbs) 1B: Split Squat x 12 each leg (10lbs) 1C: Isometric Squat hold x 20 seconds 2A: DB RDL x 12 (20lbs) 2B: Glute Bridge x 20 (10lbs) 2C: Leg Extended Hip thrust x 15

I woke up in a funk and didn't feel like doing anything. I'm really starting to suffer with lack of contact with other people. I decided to do a few controls on an old Burcham course, then sit in the park for awhile and people watch. That didn't work as well as I hoped: too few people, too hot and sticky for sitting outside.
How are other extroverts surviving? Especially in smaller towns? I basically see Mike, my in-laws and my friend Sandy. I don't have many virtual get-togethers, I don't see people on the street or trail. I only go to the grocery store once a month. Too scared to go eat at a restaurant (especially since we're peaking in Douglas county right now, and the kids will be back on Aug 1). I miss seeing kids. I stop and watch them when I can, but not too long because I don't want to appear creepy, LOL.
