Pre-run of Rockhaven Long course. The event is on Sunday, the last "class" for my Orienteering for Women, so I wanted to be available to train/talk with everyone.

Fun jaunt around west campus. I made it interesting by searching for ladders and staircases. I found a few new (to me) ones. I also explored the construction site, and the trails in the woods. Finished with a fun downhill trail run.
But on the gravel road, I ran into a loose dog. It had a tennis ball in its mouth so I knew it couldn't bite me. It seemed friendly at first, but then I froze up and it started jumping on me. The owner finally showed up but it took awhile to get the dog off me. Wonder how long it will take me to not seize up with fear when I run across a loose dog?

Mike and I walked to Pioneer Cemetery and did some mini courses. It’s hard because some trees are gone. Also, I’m still holding my compass in a funny way, and my alignment is off. I need to fix this bad habit.
