Vetting and hanging tapes for PeggyD's course at Woodridge (thanks Peggy!)
Nice day to be out, mid 40s and sunny. I was tired and just walked around. Most control locations were good, only had to move one slightly due to particularly crappy vegetation. Glad we got this done today, because we're out of town for the next two weekends, and the event is the following Sunday.

OK event at Shawnee Mission Park, courses designed by MeanGene
Clever Ad astra course (double star). The woods are really crappy, with lots of underbrish and downed stuff. Also, we were not allowed to run on the trails (anticpated wet conditions) so we had to cross or run in the woods along side of them. Gene's courses didn't rely on trails much.

Tough to get my mind focused at the beginning, and I stopped one reentrant system too soon on 2. Drifted a bit on 4 and thought I had hit the trail/stream junction N o f the control, when in fact I was S of the control. Rest of the coruse went well, if slow. Was not happy to have to go back up the hill from 9 to 10.

Nice weather and a great turn out. A record number of starts for OK (non NRE). Only big negative was that I had left the computer power cord at home, and some early starters didn't get to download (Dick N saved the day by going home and getting apower cord for us).

I went for a short walk to enjoy being outside, and to play on the swings, even though it was very cold. I need to practice for Yellowstone. One week to go!
Then I did the registration prep for tomorrow's event at SMP

Feeling just better enough today, just as it was time to return to work. Figures. I got tired a few times during the day, and had a headcahe all day, but otherwise felt OK.

After work, I went for a short walk on west campus because I was dying to get out of the house. Felt winded anytime there wasa slight incline.

(sick)

Started feeling sick on Saturday. No rapid covid tests available any where in town, and no appointments until Wednesday. Ordered some tests online and they were delivered today. Negative for covid, yeah! But definitely sick with something. Spending a lot of time sleeping, or on the couch bingeing "Emily in Paris" which is a lightweight show perfect for my sick, fuzzy brain.
